Erik N.
PT, DPT
Location: MVPT Physical Therapy – Rome, NY
Graduate: Utica College
Erik is a 2007 graduate of Utica College with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Erik is credentialed and has extensive experience with the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for the spine and extremities. When he was 11 years old, he sustained an ankle fracture that required surgery. He was then referred for physical therapy treatment, which spurred his interest in the profession. He enjoyed the rehabilitation experience so much that this was the primary factor for him to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Erik has a particular interest in helping patients return to sports following injury. Erik enjoys working with patients throughout the evaluation and treatment process to achieve their goals and resume the life they wish to live. Meeting and working with patients to improve their function motivates Erik to be an outpatient physical therapist. He also mentors many physical therapy students throughout the year from colleges around New York. Erik has worked in the Rome clinic since 2009 as a clinical director and is now a managing partner.
You can find Erik on the golf course when he is not working! He also enjoys swimming, cultivating his vegetable garden, ice skating, and cross-country skiing. He is an avid sports fan, especially of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. He spends summer weekends with his wife and three sons at Hinckley Lake.
