A Maine native, Liz has lived across the country only to return to her roots with a strong commitment to both her community and profession. After earning a BA in Sociology and Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont, Liz ventured to Colorado, where she immersed herself in the ski and food industry. This chapter not only enriched her life with new skills and experiences, but also set the stage for her next academic pursuit.
Driven by a passion for helping others, Liz pursued and earned a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado. Her professional journey has been diverse, spanning pediatrics, acute care, geriatrics, outpatient orthopedics as well as leadership roles in the therapy setting. These experiences have honed her expertise and deepened her understanding of patient care across various stages of life.
Having spent all of her summers growing up in Belfast, Liz returned to Belfast where she raised her two children with her husband in the very community that shaped her early years. Her commitment to her work and family reflects the strong values and deep connections she holds with her home state.
Liz continues to contribute to her community through her work in physical therapy, leveraging her broad experience to make a positive impact on her patients’ lives.
