PT, DPT, OCS
Location: MVPT Physical Therapy – Chittenango, NY
Matthew W., PT, DPT, OCS, grew up in Gansevoort, NY; a rural area just outside of Saratoga Springs. He is a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College where he found his passion for Physical Therapy through his experiences as a division II NCAA athlete in both cross country and track & field as well as through the completion of his B.A. in Biology. Through his interest in athletics, anatomy, and physiology he discovered the career path of physical therapy. Throughout those few years Matt also discovered his passion for supporting, encouraging, and coaching others towards meeting their goals through being a resident advisor, teacher’s assistant, and team captain at Roberts Wesleyan College.
Matt then graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020, having completed several clinical rotations throughout the central New York area in various settings. He is a certified ASTYM and Sole Supports Custom Foot Orthotics provider. His long-term goal is to always adapt and develop his clinical skills through evidence-based practice that is centered around the individual needs and goals of each person that he encounters.
In his personal life Matt enjoys spending time enjoying the outdoors with his wife Emilee going for hikes, bike rides, walks, and visiting new places both in and outside of the country.
