Lynn Steenberg
Director of Leadership Development
Lynn has more than 46 years of experience in the healthcare field. She graduated from Ithaca College in 1978 with a degree in Physical Therapy and earned her National Certification in Athletic Training the following year. She began her physical therapy career in pediatrics while serving as a volunteer high school athletic trainer for various teams. Lynn started her sports medicine management career at Cornell University in 1981, where she was the Supervisor of the Physical Therapy Department. She moved to Syracuse, NY, in 1986 to open Onondaga Sports Medicine Center, the first sports medicine-focused outpatient rehabilitation center in Central New York. It then joined HealthSouth under a management contract in 1994, where her responsibilities grew from managing two locations to more than 50 locations across the state by 2000. She then founded Sports Physical Therapy of New York, PC, after HealthSouth’s management agreement terminated on July 1, 2005. Lynn and her team joined Cypress Health Partners in August 2022 where she served as Regional Director for New York State until her transition to Director of Leadership Development in January 2025.
Lynn received the CEO/President, Outstanding Mentor, Successful Business Women Award in September 2016. She was a recipient of the CEO/President, Key Bank’s Achieve for Women Award in October 2017.
Outside work, she enjoys being with her family, volunteering, watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, reading, and playing golf.
