Location: MVPT Physical Therapy – Tonawanda, NY
Ryan D., PT, DPT, graduated from University at Buffalo with a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy. Ryan has always been fascinated by human movement and the healing process involved with different injuries. He takes pride in helping others with various impairments and functional limitations return to their full potential in an efficient and pain free manner.
Ryan’s interest in Physical Therapy began with the opportunity he had each summer from high school through college, where he had the pleasure of assisting a neighbor with a severe spinal cord injury perform his rehab exercises at home to maintain strength and function. Seeing the functional progress made over the years was inspiring and instantly sparked Ryan’s interest in becoming a Physical Therapist.
Ryan has experience treating a wide range of patients from young athletes to the elderly population. Conditions include joint pain, sprains/strains, post-op recovery, pre-op rehab, chronic pain, balance deficits, and generalized weakness.
Through college, Ryan spent his clinical rotations at various locations in NY, Texas, and Florida gaining experience with patients of all different backgrounds. He has previously worked at an outpatient clinic in North Carolina and more recently in Albion, NY.
In his free time, Ryan enjoys watching many sports, mostly football, basketball, and hockey. He enjoys spending time with his wife and travelling around the country.
