Alana received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012 from Ithaca College after completing a BS in Clinical Health Studies. Alana’s interests include all orthopedic conditions, sports injuries and rehab, geriatric care and she has a special interest in treating pelvic floor conditions and dysfunctions through pelvic floor physical therapy. She feels that incorporating a whole-body approach to care allows for patients to incorporate activity and increased movement in their daily lives, which enhances function and optimizes quality of life.

With her pelvic floor patients, Alana works to help resolve a variety of concerns including incontinence, overactive bladder/urinary frequency, pelvic pain, dyspareunia and pregnant/post-partum individuals. She utilizes her manual skills, including her training in Graston Technique Level 1, along with other specified education including Herman & Wallace Pelvic Floor Provider Series (Level 1) and New York States American Physical Therapy Association approved courses. She applies her orthopedic knowledge to each individual to ensure she is looking at the whole person and utilizing best practices and evidence to help her patients reach their goals.

When she is not working, she enjoys being close to the Adirondacks, which is one of the major perks of this area of NY. She loves hiking, kayaking, biking, cross-country/downhill skiing, and generally enjoying the outdoors. She also loves spending time with her family and friends and enjoying the local music and food Saratoga offers. She is a member of the Medical Advisory Panel for the Dake Foundation for Children and believes in the importance of giving back to the local community.
