PT, DPT
Location: MVPT Physical Therapy – Depew, NY
Kyerra S., PT, DPT, earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University at Buffalo after completing her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. Prior to attending Huntingdon, she played collegiate soccer at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, New Jersey. She later played women’s lacrosse at Huntingdon, serving as a captain of the lacrosse team. These experiences deepened her appreciation for movement, teamwork, and resilience, ultimately inspiring her to pursue a career in physical therapy. Kyerra brings a wide range of clinical experience, including orthopedic and pediatric rehabilitation, military physical therapy, and specialized testing. She is one of the providers in New York State trained to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), an advanced service used to assess safe return-to-work ability and overall functional performance.
She is especially passionate about helping service members regain strength and readiness, supporting children in reaching important milestones, and guiding patients of all ages through recovery and injury prevention. Her clinical interests include orthopedic rehabilitation, pediatric physical therapy, return-to-sport training, and injury prevention. Kyerra strives to create an environment where patients feel supported, motivated, and empowered to take an active role in their care. Outside the clinic, Kyerra enjoys traveling, writing, and fitness, which bring balance and creativity into her life and practice. She wants her patients to know that physical therapy is always a partnership: “Your goals become my goals, and we’ll work together to achieve them.”
