Susan D.

PT, ATC

Location: MVPT Physical Therapy – Dover, NH and MVPT Physical Therapy – Portsmouth, NH

Susan graduated from Simmons University (1985) with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. After graduating, she worked as a physical therapist at Sports Medicine Portsmouth Orthopedics for 14 years, where she was named Co-Director and eventually Clinic Director. Sue also spent time at UNH pursuing athletic training and, in 1990, became a Certified Athletic Trainer covering local high school teams and athletic events. Additionally, Sue continued as an adjunct faculty member at UNH, where she was an assistant teacher in the athletic training department.

In October 2020, Sue and her team joined the MVPT family, where she was the Managing Partner of MVPT-Portsmouth and, eventually, a second MVPT clinic in Dover. Now, following her retirement from her Managing Partner role in 2024, Sue provides occasional support to the Portsmouth and Dover teams and, more broadly, works with our network of clinical teams, focused on ensuring post-surgical joint replacement patients have access to the care needed to achieve the best surgical outcomes possible.

Over the years, Sue has participated in three medical mission trips to Guayaquil, Ecuador, with other medical staff at Portsmouth Hospital through a program called “Annie’s Angels.” While abroad, Sue performed physical therapy on patients who received total knee replacements through the program, providing them with the help and care they needed to get back on their feet. Outside the clinic, you can find Sue paddle boarding, at a golf course, or on a tennis court.
