Tammy M.
PTA
Location: MVPT Physical Therapy – Portsmouth, NH
Since she was young, Tammy has always had a devout passion for helping others. That drive led Tammy to a Bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology. After receiving her degree, Tammy began working in both private and public educational facilities with students who faced learning disabilities and hardship. Tammy found this work to be incredibly rewarding and it sparked a desire in her to further broaden the population of people she could help. As such, Tammy went on to receive her degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Since then, for the past 20 years, she has specialized in treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries.
Tammy has been a member of the MVPT Portsmouth (formerly Abilities) for over eight years. During this time, Tammy has enjoyed treating patients with a variety of diagnoses including, but not limited to total joint replacements, soft tissue dysfunction and pelvic instability.
Tammy has taken a special interest in spine and pelvic dysfunction and utilizes the Hesch method with her treatments. She continues to seek out ways to further her education, capitalizing on continuing education courses whenever she can to help expand her knowledge and skill set using a variety of manual and therapeutic treatments.
When Tammy is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, her husband Luke, and two children Harrison and Isabel, as well as their dog, Thor. She especially loves the time they are able to spend together exploring the outdoors and engaging in the many activities the seacoast has to offer.
